A lot of digital artists you mostly respect for their actual skill with the software. If I'm honest, your work does put me in mind of a beginner with Photoshop, but clearly you're a good artist and have a good eye. That's more than I could say for a lot of new digital artists with their splurges of colour and nail thick lines. Your work reminds me of Simon Stålenhag's.

I usually feel somewhat the opposite (on the skill admiration thing). If you're not painting something interesting, your skills serve only as a surface level facade.
I dunno if i'm a beginner with PS itself, but certainly with various facets of art. I hadn't ever taken a good whack at landscapes/environments until like a month ago. I'd never painted faces with color a few months before that again.
Also, interesting that you were reminded of Stålenhag, that's the guy whose style i admire the most. I don't want to emulate him, but i'd like something in that ballpark.
